Well it's 4:45am and I am awake! Ashley had a bottle almost an hour ago and has fallen back asleep. I wish I could do the same. So to kill time here I am on xanga. I guess the only real thing I have to update on is Ashley.
I can't believe how much she has changed in 3 months. I was just looking at pictures from when she was first born and the difference is mind blowing. I use to think people exaggerated when they said babies change so much so quickly. Now I believe them. She is such a good baby and for the most part a happy baby. Her smiles melt my heart and when she laughs... oh my goodness it is cute! She is getting more verbal and loves to talk. She wants so badly to sit up on her own but gets frustrated when she can't lift herself up. But let me tell you she feels like she is on top of the world when she sits up or stands up (with our help and support of course).
Within the last 4 weeks or so she has begun to sleep through the night but there are the occasion nights or early mornings when she wakes up. Luckily she goes back to sleep right away and most of the time I do to. Thank goodness I don't have to work in the morning or I would be a walking zombie.
For being 3 months and 8 days old she still is somewhat smaller than most 3 month old babies I have seen. At her last check up (at 2months old) she weighed 10 pds. That may seem like a lot (don't get me wrong she is growing beautifully according to the doctor) but we were around a baby the other day who is a month younger than Ashley and he already weighted 13pds! That by the way was an adorable experience. Anderson (the 13pouder) kept giving Ashley the eye and smiling at her. She didn't even notice but when he was asleep she kept giving him the eye. They were flirting with each other but just not at the same time. Anderson may give Karen and Greg's boy a run for his money.

I have come to realize that Ashley is a daddy's girl. She only goes down for the night after Ben has rocked her and put her down. Each night before she goes to bed she gets extremely grumpy and Ben is the only one who can calm her down. It is so funny in the mornings when I am getting ready for work and Ben is feeding her they will watch sports center together. No joke! She gets way more tuned in with that than cartoons.
Ashley is such a joy and a blessing. It is still crazy to think I am a mom but it is the best feeling in the world!
I think I am going to try to go back to sleep being that it now is 5:10am. Good night!
